Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies

I made some delicious chocolate chip pecan cookies for Christmas and didn't want to forget them.  The recipe came from Southern Bite (via Google search).  First recipe I had tried from there, but I loved these.  I made a half batch (and gave most of them away!) because I couldn't be trusted with any more cookies than that...  My waistline thanked me.

(Photo from Southern Bite)

2 sticks butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugars together.  Add vanilla and eggs and mix well.  Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in a separate bowl.  Gradually mix into butter/sugar mixture.  Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.  Spoon dough onto cookie sheet (I used my cookie scoop and Silpat - best things ever).  Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.  Makes ~4 dozen (if you don't eat the dough like I do!).
